Founder
Jacob Jerome Bernal, PhD
Jacob Jerome Bernal (J.J. Bernal), PhD is the founder of Archangel Atomics. He earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Arizona, with a focus in physical chemistry and astrobiology. His research in astrochemistry explored how carbon nanostructures form in extreme environments, work that now guides Archangel Atomics’ approach to advanced fuel design.
As an NSF postdoctoral fellow, he led multidisciplinary research using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and high-temperature materials systems, including experiments conducted at national laboratories.
Research origins
The Archangel Atomics technology originated during postdoctoral research at the University of Arizona. During our patent-pending period, we are pursuing staged validation while protecting proprietary details.
